Great Décor Choice: Wicker Always Looks Good
First off, especially if you live in a small apartment, you won’t want a cat bed that looks ugly and spoils your decorative theme.
And if you’re like me, you’d rather your cat didn’t select your Chinese silk rug as a snooze spot! On the other hand, your love your cat and of course you want to treat kitty well, so naturally you intend to make sure your cat has a comfy bed. Besides, once your moggie has been trained to a catbed, the rest of your furniture is less likely to get ruined by kitty’s over-entusiastic use.
That means wicker IS a practical choice because :
1. Wicker cat beds cost very little
2. Wicker cat beds are cat-comfortable
3. Wicker objects look great in the corner of your room.
It doesn’t matter if the bed gets clawed to bits, rather that than the heirloom armchair Great-Aunt Mattie left you, and wicker cat beds are quick, easy, and cheap to replace.

You also make sure the wicker cat bed that you select is more than large enough for your cat to jump in and out of easily – with plenty of landing space all around and loads of stretch room.

Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI), America’s largest and longest established pet health insurers today announced incontrovertible figures showing a substantial rise in cat deaths from kidney disease linked to the March 2007 outbreak of melamine in pet food. (source Google News)
This follows hard on the heels of the announcement yesterday that toxicologists at ExperTox Analytical Laboratories in Texas have yet again found Acetaminophen in dog and cat food.
Earlier this month ExperTox had found melamine in these brands of dog or cat foods.
Melamine was the villain in the March recall by Menu Foods of over 60,000,000 containers of pet food.
Thousands of dogs and cats across America suffered kidney problems or died after eating melamine contaminated pet foods.

However, the bright spot is that the American government is taking this issue seriously and new legislation recently enacted will hopefully prevent the future use of melamine and acetaminophen in cat food.
